Isaiah 65:24 “Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”
Jesus says: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened.... If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts” (Matthew 7:7-11).

8. What is the reason why some prayers aren't answered?
James 4:3 “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

9. Why, suggests David, doesn't god always hear and answer our prayers?
Psalm 66:18 “If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.”

10. What must we believe when we pray?
Hebrews 11:6 “Anyone who comes to [God] must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

11. What must we do if we expect God to answer prayers?
1 John 3:21-23 “Have confidence before God ...because we obey his commands” (vv 21, 22).

12. What sometimes gets in the way?
Mark 11:25 “If you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you.”
